If you did not make it, you missed it, Our last grand show Magic in the Midlands was a blast.

Our show supported someone with Joubert Syndrome. Who, granddaughter of our very own Tony Metze. In essence the child is born with an underdeveloped cerebellum. This donation will support the purchase a "stander". It is a simple device that stands the child up because their legs generally do not work without support and a lot of physical therapy and it was not cheap.

Electronic DONATION (any amount to help Tony's Grandduaghter)--

A tax-deductible donation can be made via Paypal at www.ibmring105.org. For more information call (803) 799-0030.

“This show contains a wide range of magical performances, grande illusion, comedy magic, animal magic, close up sleight of hand and juggling, all in all, this show has it all!” and “the magical brotherhood (a mix of pros and amateurs) is banding together this time to raise money for Tony' s Granddaughter” donations are still capable by clicking link above.

Please visit our Reports link to see what happened at our past meetings.

A plug for our ring member, city and state and what happens when you share magic with kids.

A great thing happened in 1996 at the South Carolina State Fair. The sharing and performing of magic by Helen and Henry changed the future of an individual that was announced in the FCM Voice. On the front cover is Marc Buxton and in his interview he stated how he was infected by the magic bug. He states "The Columbia Magic Shop with its booth in a single sale changed my life forever. The Perky Penny was the first trick I ever bought and after seeing the demo at the fair I was hooked."

========================================

FCM is another organization called the Fellowship of Christian Magicians. The Voice is the publication it sends out to its members.

Vol 59 #1 Jan-Feb 2015 has this out take. The jokes are really fun, clean and are said to be the most popular article.

"Why did Cinderella get kicked off the Soccer Team... She kept running away from the BALL."

Gag trick: Ask someone to hold a coin over their head and say

"I will attempt to tell you the date" after some conversation of explaining the odds and facts. say "the date is....13April2018 or whatever date that day is."

We host an annual show called Magic in the Midlands. This is a show dedicated to increase the capabilities of local charities through your donations at the door. All performers give willingly of their time and entertainment freely. We hope you have a chance to join us.

Coe Norton as...Mandrake Who is Coe Norton? Many thanks to Google's images for finding Coe Norton portraying Mandrake in his 1954 TV series. He and his wife (assistant) moved to Columbia, SC in the 1980s to be near their children and enjoyed the rest of his life, passing away in 1998. He was also a mentor to our local magicians. His favorite saying was from his series "Invoco legem magicarium" - that translates to "I invoke the law of magic". to find out more try this link: tribute-to-coe-norton
